My passion for the somatically oriented traditions of psychotherapy and meditation comes from knowing, from direct experience, that healing is absolutely possible.
Often, regardless of how much work we do on ourselves, the same painful patterns keep repeating themselves. By learning to stay present to the subtle movements of the body, we open to deeper layers of awareness.
Our unconscious beliefs are written into the body and are therefore observable through mindfulness and self-study. When we witness, feel and understand ourselves more deeply, change happens without force.
I also run Embodied Intimacy workshops that combine mindful individual and relational practices that allow us to see our protective strategies more clearly. My work weaves the wisdom of somatic psychotherapy, somatic meditation, and somatic sex education.
Learning the language of the body gives direct access to, and an understanding of, the core, unconscious ways you protect yourself in the world.
Paradoxically, as you learn to welcome and receive these raw experiences, real change happens. I also run safe, contained groups to support you to unravel the shame, beliefs and taboo that is wrapped around sexuality.
By doing this, you increase your capacity for profound intimacy and open the doorway to relational spiritual practices.
